Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17–18
“...Yet I will rejoice in the Lord!”

Can you think of a season when you had to hold on to faith before you had answers?
Habakkuk knew that kind of season well. His story shows us what faith looks like when answers haven’t arrived yet, but trust still remains.
Habakkuk 3:17Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!"
Habakkuk’s worship isn’t based on what’s going well. He's declaring that whatever may happen, God is still worthy to be praised, and we still have every reason to praise Him regardless of what we see in the outcome of our situations and circumstances.
It is a worship that is built on trust. Even as he names loss and uncertainty, he chooses to praise God, because his worship comes from confidence in WHO God is, not from how things look.
This kind of worship doesn’t ignore pain or pretend everything is fine. It pushes back against despair.
This kind of worship says, “God, I don’t see the results yet, but I still believe You are faithful.”
Worship in hard seasons becomes a steady anchor for the soul.
When our emotions feel unsteady and His answers feel delayed, praise reminds us that God is still present and still at work.
APPLICATION Today, let your worship come from trust, not comfort. Praise God for who He is, not just for what He does!
PRAYER
Lord, I choose to worship You even when things feel uncertain. Help me to trust my feelings less, and see circumstances, situations, and people the way YOU see them.
I know You are faithful, and I place my trust in You.
In Jesus' name~
Amen!
