January 19, 2026 | Becoming Like Jesus

Scripture: Philippians 3:12 “I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

Spiritual growth doesn’t have a finish line in this life. Even the Apostle Paul said he was still pressing on.

There are seasons when growth feels fast and seasons when it feels slow. Both are important. But following Jesus is for more than a season--It is a lifelong journey.

You've probably heard it said, "we live in a microwave society with a drive-thru mentality." We want things now, if not sooner--but only faithfulness over time can shape us in ways that quick progress never can.

Recognize that God isn’t frustrated with your process. He’s committed to it. Growth happens as we keep following, learning, and trusting Him.

APPLICATION

Today, focus on faithfulness and consistency, not speed and completion. Trust Holy Spirit to guide every step as you continue walking with Jesus.

PRAYER

Jesus, help me to keep pressing forward with perseverance. Thank You for Your patience with my growth and Your commitment to finishing Your work in me.

In Jesus' name I pray~
