Corinne Reynolds, born Sept. 8, 1946, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Corinne grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts, and often spoke fondly of her wonderful childhood. Some of her most cherished memories were spent with her family at Island Park Beach, a place that forever held a special place in her heart. She continued to enjoy summers back home with her family, especially time spent with her sister-in-law, Maureen Lynn. The two shared a bond more like sisters, creating countless memories through shopping trips, shared meals, adventures, and relaxing afternoons at the beach.
In 1971, Corinne moved to Illinois, where she raised her two children, Melissa (John) Jurcy and Mark Hartman. She later married the love of her life, Teri Reynolds, and together they shared 31 years of marriage. Through this union, Corinne lovingly embraced her stepchildren, Derrick Reynolds, Trina Reynolds, and Melanie Reynolds, forming a close and blended family.
Corinne worked at the University of Illinois until her retirement in 2008. Retirement allowed her to enjoy the simple pleasures she loved most—fishing with Teri, going to garage sales, and always being on the lookout for the best cheeseburger in town. Summers were especially meaningful, filled with laughter and family gatherings when grandchildren visited from Kentucky and Wisconsin.
In August of 2020, Corinne and Teri relocated to Kentucky, where they continued building memories together. Known affectionately as “Nanny,” Corinne was deeply loved by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of the many ways she showed her love was through baking—she was an exceptional baker, and sharing her homemade treats was her way of caring for those she loved.
Corinne was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. She attended many games at Wrigley Field and never missed watching a game, win or lose, even subscribing to MLB Extra Innings to ensure she could follow every pitch of the season.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Lynn and Christopher Lynn, and her sister, Jane Robinson.
Corinne will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to her family, and the quiet ways she showed love every day. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, shared traditions, and unconditional love.
Join us for celebration of life services to be held on February 7th at 10:00 a.m. at River City Hope Church, 12320 Ridgemont Road, Louisville, KY 40229. Lunch will be served.

“Nanny” once brought one of her special desserts to a church potluck—her Hummingbird Cake. When she discovered how much I loved it, she would often make sure it was there whenever she could. Baking for others and seeing the joy it brought to them was a wonderful part of who she was.
In her final days, my wife and I were blessed to sit with her in the hospital—praying with her and listening as she shared stories of family and sweet memories. Those moments will remain with us as a beautiful reminder of a life well-lived.
Nanny will be missed more than words can say, and we are so thankful for the gift of having her in our lives.
