Scripture: Matthew 4:4
“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
The Bible isn’t meant to sit on a shelf or a coffee table and just look spiritual. It’s meant to feed us.
Just like our bodies get exhausted and fatigued without food, our faith grows weak when we go too long without God’s Word.
Many people reach for Scripture only when life gets hard. But Jesus reminds us that God’s Word is meant for everyday life.
God's Word shapes how we think, how we make decisions, and how we keep going when things get tough. The Word strengthens our faith long before It is tested.
Reading the Bible isn’t about how much you read or how fast you get through it. It’s about paying attention.
Sometimes one verse, taken seriously at just the right moment, can carry you further than several chapters read quickly.
APPLICATION Today, go to God's Word with a hunger. But instead of rushing through it, slow down.
Pray before reading and ask God to reveal truth to you.
Read with an expectation that He will give you understanding.
Then, trust God’s Word to strengthen you from the inside out.
PRAYER Father, give me a hunger for Your Word. Feed my soul today with truth that strengthens my faith and guides my steps.
In Jesus' name~ Amen!
FEATURED WORSHIP Play this in the background while praying, meditating on God's Word, Journaling, etc.

How do you currently engage with Scripture, and what would it look like to approach God’s Word with greater hunger or intention?
