January 6, 2026 | Becoming Like Jesus

Scripture: Philippians 4:6–7
“Do not be anxious about anything… and the peace of God… will guard your hearts and minds.”
Prayer doesn’t always change our circumstances right away, but it does change the person who prays.
As we pray, anxiety begins to slip away; Situations often become clearer; Faith is boosted and we become encouraged, knowing the Creator of the Universe is listening.
God meets us there in that moment, and replaces our worry with His peace.
Prayer helps us release what we were never meant to carry alone.
Remember: Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the assurance of God's presence. He reminds us we’re not alone when trouble does come.
As we pray, our hearts will begin to shift from fear to trust, and our minds grow steadier instead of spiraling.
Peace becomes the sign that prayer truly is doing its work.
APPLICATION Today, pray honestly. Name your concerns and receive God’s peace. Let prayer guard what anxiety has threatened.
PRAYER
God, I bring You my worries and fears right now. Exchange my anxiety for Your peace, and guard my heart and mind today.
In Jesus' name~
Amen!
FEATURED WORSHIP
Play this in the background while praying, meditating on God's Word, Journaling, etc.

When you think about prayer, do you tend to focus more on changing circumstances or being changed yourself? Why?
