Scripture: Acts 2:42
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship.”
The early church didn’t treat faith as something optional or occasional. Scripture says they devoted themselves. It means they showed up consistently, not perfectly, but intentionally.
Faith wasn’t something they squeezed in when life got hard. It was central to how they lived each day.
They devoted themselves to teaching and fellowship. In other words, they cared deeply about truth and about people.
They learned together, prayed together, and shared life together. Growth happened because faith was practiced in community, not isolation.
Devotion doesn’t mean having endless time or energy. It means choosing faith again and again in ordinary ways. It means we keep showing up, and stay connected.
APPLICATION Today, ask yourself: Where is God inviting me to be more present, more engaged, or more committed? Devotion grows when we choose to stay rooted and connected to God and each other.
PRAYER
God, thank You for the gift of community. Help me stay devoted, present, and open to how You shape me through others.
In Jesus' name~ Amen!
