Scripture: Psalm 95:6
“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”
Worship has a quiet power. It brings us back to center when life has pulled us out of alignment.
When we bow before God, something changes inside of us. Pride softens. Anxiety fades. Our perspective improves. Worship reminds us who God is and who we are in relation to Him.
This passage uses physical language: bowing and kneeling. That’s because worship isn’t just something we feel on the inside. It’s a posture of the heart. It's an attitude of gratefulness from the created to the Creator.
Even when we don’t physically kneel, we need to come to God with humility, recognizing our dependence on Him.
The world teaches us to stay in control--trust in our own strength, and to stand on our own. Worship invites us to let go of the need to control everything and trust God instead. That isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom.
After we kneel before the Lord, we stand back up with a clearer vision and find ourselves on more stable ground.
APPLICATION
Enter into worship today and regain your focus. Recognize God as your Creator, Sustainer, and Shepherd, and may your soul find its rightful place.
PRAYER
Father, I bow my heart before You. Recenter my soul today and remind me that You are my Maker and my God. I trust in You completely, and give you control of my life.
In Jesus' name~ Amen!
