Scripture: Luke 11: “Lord, teach us to pray.”
Prayer may not come naturally, but the more we do it, the more comfortable we become. Especially when we recognize that prayer is a conversation with God, your Heavenly Father--the One who created you, and loves you so much!
And, if at first, you don't feel comfortable praying, just begin by telling God that you're unsure how to do it, and ask for His help.
Even the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, which tells us even those closest to Him started out not knowing exactly how to do it from the start.
God is not looking for perfect words or polished prayers. He welcomes honesty, even when our prayers feel awkward or incomplete.
What matters most is showing up again and again, trusting that God meets us there.
Growth in prayer comes the same way growth in any relationship does: through time, honesty, and consistency.
As we keep praying, we begin to listen (and hear) better, trust deeper, and rest more fully in God’s presence.
APPLICATION Today, don’t be discouraged by what you don’t know. Keep praying, and ask God for His help. He gladly teaches willing hearts.
PRAYER Lord, teach me to pray. Help me grow in trust and honesty as I continue learning how to talk with You.
In Jesus' name I pray~ Amen~
