TODAY’S PRAYER POINT
Ask God to help you memorize His Word and to bring it to mind when you need it most.
BIBLE VERSE | Psalm 119:11
"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."
This verse describes the important relationship between Scripture and our daily lives.
The writer of this psalm emphasizes the importance of internalizing God's Word, not merely reading it, but allowing it to take root within us.
MEMORIZING SCRIPTURE:
Equips us for spiritual battles and
Deepens our relationship with God.
When faced with challenges, the verses we've internalized can serve as reminders of God's promises and His desire for us to live in alignment with His will.
Consider committing a verse to memory this week.
It can be a source of strength and comfort in times of need.
APPLICATION
**Work with the same verse or passage in a variety of ways.
Read it silently.
Read it aloud.
Study it.
Write it out.
**Search for programs on the internet by using a search engine, with keywords like “scripture memory program” or “scripture memory software.” Add in the word “free” and you will find plenty of freebies.
**Find an app for your cell phone for Scripture memorization.
**Type the verse(s) out on your phone/tablet/computer in a document, and see how far you can type from memory each time.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I recognize the power and truth that Scripture holds, and I ask for Your help as I seek to memorize it.
Give me the focus and discipline I need to study Your Word diligently.
Help me to understand the passages I commit to memory, so that they will come to my mind in moments of need—when I face challenges, doubts, or decisions.
Help me to hide it in my heart so that it may guide me and protect me from sin.
Teach me to cherish Your teachings and to seek Your truth daily.
As I internalize Your Word, may it transform my thoughts and actions, drawing me closer to You.
In Jesus’ name, I pray~ Amen.
