Day 8: The Power of Praying the Scriptures
TODAY’S PRAYER POINT
Ask God to deepen your love for His Word and to reveal specific passages that speak to your heart during this time.
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE | Psalm 119:105
“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.”
Prayer and Scripture work hand in hand. As we pray, we should also immerse ourselves in God's Word, allowing it to shape our hearts and minds.
As you read a passage, pray it back to God and recognize how the words affirm His promises to You.
Doing this will help to deepen your understanding of Scripture.

Praying today’s Scripture Reference back to God (example):

Show me (illuminate) how you would like for me to think/talk/act as I move throughout my day today.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I recognize the power and truth that can be found within Your Word (the Bible), and I ask for Your guidance as I seek to grow in my relationship with You through them.
Ignite a passion within me for reading and meditating on Your Word.
Help me to find joy and nourishment in the Scriptures, as they become a source of strength and comfort in my life.
Guide me to the passages that will encourage, challenge, and transform me.
Holy Spirit, I ask that You would illuminate the truths I need to see, hear, and put into practice, and let them be planted deeply within me.
I trust that You will reveal Yourself to me through Your Word as I seek You with all my heart.
In Jesus’ name, I pray~ Amen.
