What happens when the candy is gone, the decorations come down, and the last family leaves the parking lot? What will people remember about us? In this message, “More Than Candy,” Pastor Terry Wright shares how our everyday actions can reflect the love of Jesus and make an eternal difference in the lives of others. Using Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14–16, we discover that being the light of the world means more than putting on an event or handing out candy. It means seeing people through the eyes of Jesus, serving without expecting anything in return, and letting our light point people to Him. Whether we're welcoming families at a Trunk or Treat, helping a neighbor, or offering encouragement to someone going through a difficult season, every act of kindness can become an opportunity to share the hope of Jesus. THREE WAYS TO REFLECT JESUS: 1. See people through the eyes of Jesus, not just as a crowd. 2. Serve without expecting something in return. 3. Let your light point people to Jesus. Our mission isn't simply to get people to come to church. It's to take the love of Jesus into our community! Because it's about MORE THAN CANDY. It's about sharing the love of Jesus, one person at a time. SCRIPTURE: Matthew 5:14–16; John 8:12; Matthew 9:36-38; Mark 10:45; John 1:5 CONNECT WITH RIVER CITY HOPE CHURCH Looking for a church family in Louisville, Kentucky?
